First and foremost, I want to take this opportunity to dedicate this blog post to a friend and fellow photographer who has inspired me to shoot at the Mad T Party week after week. I first discovered Rachel Brogan's work while doing a search online about the band (wanted to know how often they played, who they were and if they had gigs outside of California Adventure). I found several pictures on Facebook/search engines and her work truly stood out in every way possible. I was convinced Disney hired her to be THE photographer of Mad T Party. Rachel even inspired me to throw away all my insecurities and inhibitions to post the things I love photographing, especially these talented group of musicians. Thank you, Rachel, for sharing your amazing work and inspiring others to do the same. Please like her page on Facebook and show her some love - it's well deserved.

Olympus OMD with the 75mm f1.8 |
As of late, my go-to lens has been the Olympus 75mm f1.8. Having used several different micro four-thirds (or m43 for short) lenses, nothing has blown me away like this premium lens. In fact, I would say it's my holy grail glass for portraits. Although it is not the best lens for fast-moving subjects or sports photography, it has been wonderful for the Mad T Party mainly because I can get up-close and personal with the musicians. I think of
Robert Capa every time I use this lens: "
If you're photographs aren't good enough, you're not close enough." Because this lens is equivalent to 150mm when compared to a full-frame camera, I can get plenty close to these artists.
